It was great to see so many international talents at the International Talent Event! The event was organized by the Utrecht International Welcome Center on the 14th of September 2019. During the career cafe Maggy Ovaa from Talent4NL had the chance to talk to international talents about their career in the Netherlands. What should be the strategy of my job hunt? What about Dutch language? Should I really use LinkedIn? What does the service of Talent4NL look like? These were some of the topics we discussed. Talent4NL hopes to see many of the international talents join one of the programs we offer!
The orientation year is a great opportunity for international graduated students to stay and work in the Netherlands. However the rules and procedures for the orientation year are sometimes confusing or unclear for international students. On July 10 2018, Nuffic and IND co-hosted a webinar about the Orientation year (Zoekjaar). In this webinar Sander van der Eijk (Manager Customer Communication at the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service – IND) and Floor van Donselaar (Policy Officer student mobility at Nuffic) explained all you would need to know about this Orientation Year permit. Vanessa Dos Santos, a graduated international student and currently one of the Holland Alumni Career Ambassadors shared her experiences and tips and tricks on staying after your studies and how to find a job.
